Drawing inspiration from the traditional gourd shape, the design seamlessly transitions from the upper to the lower curves of the teacup, creating a rounded and full silhouette. Unlike the upright feel of a footed gourd cup, the flat base provides a more stable center of gravity, giving the vessel a simple, elegant form that appears even more composed and serene on the tea tray.

The overall design features an antique-style glaze with a quiet, understated hue that carries a rustic charm within its fresh, celadon-like tones. Rather than a single, flat color, the glaze exhibits subtle variations in depth depending on the light and viewing angle, creating a low-key yet layered appearance.

Due to factors such as glaze application, kiln temperature, kiln placement, and cooling, the depth of color, density, and direction of the crackle patterns may vary slightly from piece to piece; therefore, no two pieces are exactly alike.
